Data migration and cloud infrastructure for an established estate

Moving live data and infrastructure to cloud foundations without interrupting the business that depended on it.

  • IT Infrastructure
The challenge

What was in the way

Migrating an established estate is rarely blocked by the technology — it is blocked by the risk. Live data has to arrive intact, the cutover has to be reversible, and the business cannot pause while it happens.

The approach

What we did

  1. Assessed the existing estate and sequenced the migration into waves ordered by risk, moving the least critical workloads first to prove the pattern.

  2. Built and validated the data migration path with full reconciliation before any production cutover.

  3. Established cloud infrastructure sized against real observed load rather than nameplate capacity, controlling cost from day one.

  4. Handed over with monitoring and operational runbooks in place so the client’s own team could run the estate.
