A decade-long security testing partnership in network test and measurement
What began as a single testing engagement in 2011 became a long-term partnership and the foundation of our security testing practice.

- IT Infrastructure
What was in the way
Network test and measurement systems sit in a demanding position: they are themselves security-sensitive infrastructure, and they must remain dependable while the encryption landscape around them changes continuously. Encrypted traffic increases security but reduces visibility into what is actually traversing the infrastructure, and any testing programme has to hold that balance between protection and measurable performance.
What we did
Established a structured, repeatable security testing methodology adaptable to a fast-moving product line.
Introduced testing early in the software development life cycle so defects surfaced where they were cheapest to resolve.
Extended coverage across web application, infrastructure and performance security testing as the product surface grew.
Built the engagement as a standing capability rather than a series of project-shaped bursts, which is why it has run for more than a decade.
